I just did something similiar to what we are discussing here.

I bought (Ena and myself) one-way tickets Madrid --> London at a travel agency here and then went to www.easyjet.com and bought the return flights in GBpounds as if I were in UK.

Since it is always cheaper for people from UK to fly to Spain than it is for people from Spain to fly to UK, by doing this I saved 30 per ticket over the price if I had just boought the RT ticks at either the travel agent here or at easyjet Big Grin

And since easyjet is a ticketless airline, there is no need to (nor can you) have tickets sent anywhere. Printed out my e-mail confirmation and will simply show up with my ID at the easyjet counter in London and dats all she wrote Smiler

Saludos,
jer...

Iberia.com is running a special travelling from NY - Mad in September. I checked the price for my ticket in October leaving the 20th and coming home nov. 29th. The price was 429. I changed the return home date to a weekday and Eeker the ticket dropped to 399. I suggest all you Multimadrider's out there who want to return to Madrid EAT THIS FARE UP! Eeker Eeker

Well....I got all excited about the cheap BA fares and now we're going to Sevilla for 3 weeks over Christmas! :l:
We were planning on going anyway...but just so you guys have an idea of how QUICKLY fares change...we were looking at one for $420 2 days ago and we finally booked it today for $550. If only we didn't have bosses to approve vacations by...we'd be $260 richer :lo:
The BEST thing about this flight is that we don't have to switch between LHR and LGW. We stay at LHR for both flights... Big Grin
And we get to spend Fin de Ao and see the Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos before flying out on the morning of Reyes....

Wishing it was a one-way ticket..... Roll Eyes

Saludos.....

I just looked at a fare of EUROS 16.99 INCLUDING taxes from Madrid to London (Gatwick) on 18th October. Now that's cheaper than the taxi to Barajas - isn't it ? And if you can be flexible about timings there are some juicy ones around. Yum yum

Yeah, it's incredible if you live near Stansted and want to fly to Cork (for instance) For the rest of us, it's just incredibly frustrating!!!

Well, I just did try Ryanair to get the 1.99 fare, as my parents live at stansted and my daughter is in Dublin. I have to say it didnt happen, yes it was cheap, but the 1.99 did not appear! Razzer

It would have been nice to have sent my parents there to see the granddaughter, if only for the day.
