I just looked again at EASYJET and that really "give away" fare went, but I am sure you know the trick. Be flexible with date of travel and try to book well in advance !For example, fares for some dates in December from Madrid to London Gatwick are currently Euros 16.99 SALE PRICE incldg. taxes ! If you want to go on Thursday 16th Oct, (Madrid-London Gatwick) today's website price incldg. taxes, is Euros 35. But there are definitely really silly prices occasionally available because I have used them ! Nige

Hey Guys!WEll I was thinking on what to do for "Spring Break" and returning to madrid for a week came to mind. I found Iberia has roundtrip on a weekend in the first week of march for $515! A great fare. Now all I have to do is find out how in the hell I can swing it!
But definetly great prices out there!

British Airways is putting forth some good fares, but you must purchase before Oct. 2 to take advantage. These tickets must be used betweeb November 2003 and the end of March 2004. Boy, I am tempted, since it's ONLY $558 RT from Detroit. Cheaper, no doubt, from New York, Boston, Atlanta and D.C. Anything special planned for March? BBQ?
One quirky thing is that some flights arrive at Gatwick and leave from Heathrow(or vice versa) I seem to recall taking a train between the two.

Hey Sue, well, we would be glad to have a get together (INDOORS) in your honor but the words "March" and "BBQ" in Segovia are incompatible, bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
I will keep you posted. I remember going to Barcelona around March 12 and being warm, but a) it's on the Med and b) it's not very high up. Right now, we are awaiting the first frost of the season

Sue, I took my parents to Madrid in March for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. I packed boots, sweaters, socks etc etc. The temperature was 75 degrees F all the time we were there!! Blue skies, the lot! Wonderful!! So thats not normal weather for that time of year then? We were so lucky.

Yes ladies, it can get warm (or very cold) in Madrid in March. March is one of the most unpredictable months weather-wise here but the mountains of Segovia (BarBQ venue) are not the city of Madrid
My mom is coming in February or so to Madrid to come and visit me and is looking for cheap plane tickets from Salt Lake City to Madrid. Have anyone heard anything or know where the best place to look is for a good deal? So far, the best deal we found was on Bestfares.com for $385, but they upped the price in the last minute and we lost out. After that, the next best deal has been from Delta for $525. Anyone know anything better? Thanks a lot for any help.
