Big thumbs down for Iberia (National Spanish Airliner) for their 3 hour flight cancellation last night from 12 midnigh to 3am. Flights were suspended last night for 3 hours and no reason has been given so far. This is causing unreparable damage in all aspects of Spanish society, not only the tourism field. Over 80,000 passengers were affected by the suspension of flights. In the Canary Islands, where the only transportation possible linking the Islands to the world, it was especially disastrous. So, for 3 hours no Iberia flights took off anywhere in the world, Spaniard stuck at home and travelers abroad stranded in those countries.

As much as I hat to get into politics, the PSOE (Partido Socialista Obrero Espa�ol) which is the opposing political party to the PP (Patido Popular) currently heading up the govt. blames the PP for bad political practices in allowing the privatization of Iberia for a Govt. run Iberia would never be allowed to do such things.

Traveler frustration is the bottom line !

p.d. Stats show that due to the pilot strike a few weeks ago and this recent suspension, 48% of all Spaniard who buy a plane ticket insist that it not be with Iberia, ouch!
