Hi!

Booked myself a ticket for the first puente in May to Valencia on a bus with Auto-Res, but nowhere on the ticket does it say which bus station: Av. America? Conde de Casal? Estacion Sur? or some other. Please help!

Thanks,

Tanya

hey Tanya.

auto res used to have a lot of buses that left from conde de casal but they also have departures from estación sur.

i believe for valencia they leave from estación sur.

if you go to the auto res website ( http://www.auto-res.net ), choose your language and click on "Bus Stations", the only 2 in madrid that they list are "el escorial" and "sur" (estación sur) so you will probably leave from estación sur.

HOWEVER, you should probably call auto res (see below) and as for sure if you do not want to miss your bus.

auto res: 902 02 0052
estación sur: 91 468 42 00
conde de casal: 902 020 999

happy trails!

saludos,
jer...

Thanks Jer! When I printed out my ticket I finally noticed in small print that it leaves from Estacion Sur. Since I live three stations from there and one from Conde de Casal, if it turns out badly, I should have enough time to get around. smiler

Thanks!

last year i remember seeing notices that auto res was moving from conde de casal to estación sur. so i´d bet you´re leaving from there!

Yes, you ARE leaving from Estación Sur de Autobuses (Méndez Álvaro). I leave for Valencia tomorrow from the same bus station.

Cheers,

Shawn

Thanks for all your help.

One more thing - I booked my tickets on the auto-res website, and have printed a paper ticket, but will I still need to go to a ticket window to get it "validated" (or whatever the correct term is)? Or does the driver just glance at the paper reservation and let me on?

Thanks again,

Tanya

the driver will only need the paper ticket you printed out. have your ID ready just in case.
