Hi, as I am going to Spain for three months and moving around I will have my car with me for a month in Madrid. What can I do with it? Do you have any idea about the price of one month rental in a public garage?

Drive it off the nearest cliff, AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH Red Face

Jejejeje, as someone who has a car here, does not want one and is about to buy a new one within a few months Confused (ena, my gal, needs it to get to work and back), I can tell ya that in the city center and many other neighborhoods, free parking is a nightmare! (except in August when the city is pretty empty).

We park our car in the street and can always find space about a 10-15 minute walk from home and sometimes we get lucky and find a spot rigth around the corner.

Private garages are rented out by their owners but it would be hard for one month since often people are on waiting lists for years to get a rental Eeker Price depends on location, in the center (around Puerta del Sol) of the city prices run about 100-150 Euros/month.

Public garages are an option and for one month it would not be bad (price depends on the area you want to rent in).

What area are you staying in?

Saludos,
jer...

Another idea, if you wont really be using it much for the month that you are in Madrid is to park it in one of the nearby suburbs like Pozuelo and take the bus back to Moncloa (about a 15 minute ride).

If you will be using your car regularly, you might want to consider a less populous neighborhood of Madrid (is there one??) and leave it parked near the boca de metro (metro station) so that you have relatively easy access to it.

Dear Jer,

thank you very much for resonding so quickly to my mails. It is very admirable what you are doing. You must be a very dedicated person and I don't think that this is very often the case. But I can see that everybody loves you very much and so you are getting a great acompensation for all that work of yours.

I hope to meet you sometimes,

Annette
