parking in the center over the weekend - Topic Powered by Social Strata

I have a friend from out of town who may be driving to Madrid next week to spend the weekend here. Any ideas on the best place for him to park? No one I know ever drives into the center looking for parking, so I don't know the best place to tell him. Is it just easiest for him to bring the car to a garage and leave it there for a couple days? Do all garages cost the same? Any better option?

Parking is plentiful but expensive. Best bet is to park somewhere free or cheap (such as the hotel they are staying at) and walk or take a taxi everywhere. Taxis are cheap and driving here is a nightmare.
