As of today, (Dec. 4th, 2001) there is a huge Taxi strike in the city of Le�n which is affecting many visitiors and residents alike.
The strike will continue until further notice and is taking place due to the implementation of "Buhos" ("Owls") which is the nickname for the Night Busses which circulate throughout major parts of the city in order to compensate for the lack of night time transportation. When the normal bussus stop for the day, the "Buhos" take over and although they are fewer routes, the Taxi owners are striking becuase the low cost of the night busses will hurt their business.
When I hear more on this I will post it here and if anyone else keeps up on the strike, please let us know on this thread.
