Hello and it's been a long time since I posted anything, anyway...Has anybody had problems with Aerotaxi? I've been using them for years for visitors, bands etc. and everything has been fine up until now. At terminal 1 I have been quoted 40e to go to the center when according to their website it should be 17e, this has happened twice recently. Their telephone service also leaves a lot to be desired as the staff now employed are 'a bit' rude - they've hung up on me a few times - and that's with my number supposedly on their switch. I didn't do anything to upset them that I know of, but I have since made alternative arrangements, the taxi is cheaper and if I'm alone the metro is the business, especially now that Aer Lingus are now operating out of T1. Happy Christmas to you all and all the best for '08

hey Bren.

40 Euros from t1 is insane but as far as i know, for a single passenger they have always been pretty steep.

if you are alone or with one other person, the taxi has always been cheaper.

in my opinion, aerocity is good if you 3 or more people.

as for the customer service, i have never had a problem with it.

saludos,

my only problem with them once was that they charged my credit card and claimed i was a no show. indeed, i had been picked up and taken to the airport, but wasn't offered a receipt and had no way to prove it. after some calls to customer service, they refunded my money. lesson learned: always get the receipt from them.

Hi
I've been using Aerotaxi back and forth for a while now, never had a problem.
I'm always going alone and paying 17 Euros.
Few times I was the only passenger in the taxi and paid 17 Euros as usual.

I have used them quite a bit in the past and I have notice some issues lately.
One: they changed computing systems or something (or so someone claimed) so whereas before as soon as I gave them my name or phone number they knew who I was, my address and everything, they now never seem to know. Having been a faithful costumer who has recommended them so much for many years (I even list them on our student hadnbook, for crying out loud!) I do resent that lack of personal treatment.
Two: had two trips to the airport within a week last month and got quoted different amounts, all more expensive than the last time I had used the service (which could be understandable as prices do go up). When I complained I ended up getting the response that on the first trip we had been charged less than we should have (got lucky I guess?) and that it's also a different price if it's one person than if it's two or three.
Three: tried to make a reservation for a pick up from their booth at the airport and was told that it couldn't be done, something about the computer or their phone being down, which is understandable, but what was uncalled for was the manner in which I was treated, and at some point I do recall a phone call in which the treatment was also less than friendly.
I'm also getting the feeling that things are getting a bit sketchy with these guys, don't know if they have gotten too sure of themselves because they have done so well competing against the taxis or what. It's worth keeping an eye on, let's keep this thread alive with info about them if we find out more.
Or maybe someone wants to send their customer service person a link to this thread as a suggestion that a decline has been noticed in their services by some very faithful customers?
Happy Holidays and Happy Travels!

hey all.

i think the prices may have gone up due to the fact that they are going into t4 as well.

also, they are really the only game in town of you do not want to take a taxi. being the only other viable option may have gone to their heads?

i know the director of aerocity personally and have e-mailed this thread to him.

they had a stand at T1 for the longest time then it closed for a few months then recently it opened again. I used them for quite a while before we moved here and was quite happy with the service. Now living in Tres Cantos it's cheaper to take a taxi.
