I doubt I will use the bus system, when traveling abroad, I rarely do........but just so that I am properly informed, can anyone recommend a web-site with an "easy to read" & updated schedule/map etc. of Madrid's city bus system? Or, should I just buy a map/pamphlet when I arrive at Barajas?
. Again, I dont think I will be using the city bus.....( I may use a long distance one to visit an area like Chinchon....) but just in case............
. Finally, before I leave, I must again praise Jeremy and his fantastic web-site.......it really is one of the best pages I've seen, and without a doubt the best one on Madrid. It would be more than just if he decides to charge visitors for a subscription.......because this kind of information is gold.
Thanks again to all.

it's in English and Spanish and it's so cool! You can type in where you're going and where you are and it will tell you all the different ways to get there, fastest, most direct, etc, and how long it will take you, etc, pretty good stuff! Buses and metro. Good luck! -Joy

Thank you all.......I had previously seen that information, unfortunately........I think though that for such a vast network of bus travel, I will need to buy myself a booklet.
Thanks again.

About 6 months ago I did put up a multimadrid donation section with secure server and all at www.multimadrid.com/mm_info/donate.htm but oddly enough, I have not received a single donation
People simply do not want to pay for what they can get for free, makes sense I guess.
Back to the bus topic, the busses in Madrid are many and can be hard to get a handle on. For short stays, most visitors do not use them. If they do, they use the main lines and no more. You should ba able to get a Bus route map for free at local toursit offices (see my list of the main ones at my MADRID TOURISM SECTION). Ask for the EMT map.
If the tourist offices you go to do not have them, ask where the nearest EMT stand is, they always have them there.
