Has anybody used this online ticketing thingie? I just discovered it's too soon to book a Madrid-San Sebastian return. Has to be sixty days or fewer from your last leg(in this case, Sept. 20)Also, is the 20% discount for roundtrip ALWAYS in force? What a deal!
Am I nuts to fly into Madrid on the 30th of August, hang out with you folks if possible while fighting jet lag, take the night train to SS(with bed), then reverse the process Sept. 20(minus jet lag) in order to spend a few more days in Madrid? You'll help make it worthwhile, right?
Got my translations done for the cookbook, and am waiting for the "academy guy" to reply with a few more. I can feel the butterflies hatching....
Later: oh, crap! I see that the metro line that serves Chamartin is "closed for remodeling" (loose translation) How long will this be?

Well, it's finally late enough to purchase tickets via TIKNET----but the Costa Vasca is not one of the trains available for purchase online, as far as I can tell! Grrrrr! There are DAY TRAINS, but in order to take one, I would have to spend the night of the 30th in Madrid and take a morning train. On the bright side, there may be some great scenery en route, and the day trains are cheaper. Advice, please?
Oh, FYI, Jer, the page I attempted to send you, I also sent myself, and it did not "go" properly. Phooey!
Can probably go to a travel agent here to get the night train set up? What do you all (or y'all) think?
