Does anybody know of any breakers or scrapyards in or around Madrid. I'm looking for a Vw Golf Gti with a blown engine/gearbox so I can drop my in existing engine into the scrap car.

hey normske.

not personally up on these things but if you google "desguace madrid" (scrapyard is "desguace" in spanish) you will get some good results.

i found a few webs with lists of them all over spain and below are a few madrid lists...

there is a lot of info out there so when you take your hook wink you may want to just call the main ones in madrid and ask if they have a golf gti body lyin around.
