Afternoon all,

I am going to Teneriffe for a week in September (from the 7th)

I have been looking at flights and cant seem to find any for less than 200 euros per person frowner

If you have any tips or websites that i should look at, then i would be keen to hear a.s.a.p

Many thanks,

Deano.

hey deano, where ya been looking?

on my first try at http://www.spanair.es i found a rt for 144.95 euros leaving on sept. 7th and returning on the 13th.

with the same dates, http://www.viajar.com gave me a rt as low as 140 euros but then ya gotta pay their ticket issuing fee which brings it in for more than spanair mentioned above.

iberia came in at 177 and change.

so, all 3 of my tries came in under 200 euros.

i'm sure if i kept diggin it would get even cheaper than 144.95.

for the record, i did not think it was that expensive to fly to tenerife in sept. eeker just a month ago spanair had flights rt for under 80 euros, too bad ya did not reserve then frowner

not sure if you already have a place to stay but have you tried the main travel agency sites? they have package deals with flight+hotel+shuttles for 2 people pretty cheap on a 8 day stay (7 nights).

http://www.viajescrisol.com for example has the trip for 691 euros including rt flights, hotel (half pension) and both airport transports.

try also the following for similar package deals...

- http://www.viajesiberia.com (THEY HAVE A 2 for 1 DEAL FOR THE ISLANDS RIGHT ON THEIR HOMEPAGE!!! including southern tenerife).

personally, i find these types of package vacations to be a great deal.

saludos and happy hunting,
jer...

Hi Jer,

The missus has been looking, but clearly not in the right places.

I will check out your links in the morning, the spainair one looks a good price.

As for somewhere to stay, i have a family member that owns a place there, so we can stay there for a week.

Cheers Jer.

This is another plea for assistance in a flight to Tenerife.

Myself and the missus have been looking at approx 5 websites each. Thus far the price for a flight from Madrid on the 15th October until the 19th October is approx 180 euros each. Ideally we would like to pay no more than 130 each, so any assistance would be fantastic.

Also, has anyone had any joy with waiting until the day before and then booking?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Deano, I would imagine if you have already looked at 10 websites between you, then that is the price you will have to pay!!!!!

Usually waiting till the last minute doesn´t help in the least. In my experience the prices tend to go up, not down, and even going standby means there is a set price, usually in the region of 150€

Also, I am not sure why you think the prices you have been quoted are bad? Tenerife is a long way from Madrid!!!!!

Hello, this is a good website for getting a good comparison: look at the one-month view feature, makes it all very easy indeed http://www.skyscanner.net/

Thanks for the help.
The annoying thing is that we checked yesterday and we could go for 100 euros each, but we decided to double check and book it today instead.

Today we check the same flights and they have doubled in price frowner

We now have been told that yesterday was a 50% off discount day.

Gutted
