Note: Using MetroSur...
Ok, thought I would give everyone the scoop on the use of the brand spankin new MetroSur line 12.
The normal 10 trip...
... or single use ticket that one can use for the Metro here is no good for MetroSur.
In order to use MetroSur, you need to by a special (although it looks pretty much the same) ticket. Also, the MetroSur tickets can not be used on the normal "Red de Metro" (Metro network). The MetroSur tickets cost the same as the normal Metro tickets (1.10 Euros per ride or 5.20 Euros for a 10 trip ticket).
In addition, if you use an "Abono Transportes" or monthly transportation pass (
CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO) and wish to use MetroSur with it, you will need to have the "B1-B2" zone Abono (28.35 Euros/month as of Jan 1. 2003) since the new line 12 is considered zone B1.
I will now be happy to field any questions (about the MetroSur smart alecs)
Saludos,
jer...
