Hi all, 2 METRO updates worth mentioning for the summer (& beyond).
1) This one will not affect visitors much but the METRO stop of "Nuevos Ministerios" on line #10 is closed for renovation. Not much at that stop so I do not think you need to worry about it.
2) The second closing is a biggie! METRO line 2 (one of the 3 main lines that pass through the "Puerta del Sol") has been closed for renovation between the stations of "Santo Domingo" and "Banco de Espaa". This closing will last until September 2001.
So, this is the price we have to pay from time to time for having the best and most extensive METRO in the world
Saludos, jer...

Hi mer, I'm game for that Tapas get together, anyone else? This could be the start of a party! If you e-mail me direct just before you leave for Spain, I will send you my phone # so you can call and we can meet up.
By the way, I forgot to tell you all that there is a special bus that has been put on tha closed section of the #2 metro line (mentioned above) in order to make up for it's closing until September.
Well, the #2 Metro line mentioned above is now open for business in its entire and renovated state.
Still closed are the stations of "Nuevos Ministerios" on the dark blue #10 line and the stations between "Concha Espina" and "Po XII" on the purple #9 line.
