I've already been trawling on Loquo.com and am waiting for the next issue of InMadrid to do some more research, but no harm in asking here, too.
I am looking for a room in a shared flat or a studio in Madrid, specifically in Goya/Ibiza/Sainz de Baranda/Lista/Velazquez/Principe de Vergara area. Bilbao/San Bernardo/Opera/Callao/Sol/Sevilla are also options, and so is right at Avenida de America.
Something in the range of 250 Euros (mas gastos) to 450 Euros (gastos incluidos) is my budget. I do need WIFI, and a somewhat quiet envinroment - not Erasmus or student-y - as I'm working, not studying. I'm looking to move Nov/Dec/Jan.
As you can see, I'm quite flexible on the range of things I'll consider. If you know of anyone who is looking for a flatmate, Spanish or English speaker or otherwise, send me a PM and I'll get in contact with them.
About me: I'm female, 25, American, working not studying, non-smoker, and currently living in Madrid.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

I could show you where i am living. It´s a pretty and new flat. You´d have your own bathroom. The problem is that is not in your prefer areas but convenient (6-10 minutes to Atocha) if you can open your places to live.
I am a female, non smoker who works and study in the evenings. That means that i am not at home often.
You can email me to carmmadrid@yahoo.es if you are still looking for a flat to live

In re the original post, I did find an apartment on top of metro Lista, but it is a short-term contract, and I must leave at the end of this month or beginning of March. So...I am looking again.
I'm open to pretty much any area in central Madrid, with preference to the space between metros Ibiza/Sainz de Baranda up to Avenida de America, the reason being I need to travel for work. But Malasana, Gran Via, Sol, possibly other places could work too. I can also assure you I am quiet, clean, and responsible, and have shared apartments for more or less eight years, so it is nothing new for me. I do speak some Spanish, and am always willing to keep practicing, too.
Please, if you know of anyone who is renting, or if you yourself are looking for another person, send me an email or post here as well.
Thanks!
Tanya
